Asahi is a conceptual mobile app designed to help people with Hashimoto’s better understand the relationship between their symptoms and daily habits. Managing the condition is often difficult not because of a lack of information, but because symptoms are inconsistent and influenced by multiple factors like sleep, stress, and nutrition, making patterns hard to recognise. Existing tools tend to feel either too clinical or too demanding, leading users to collect data without gaining real insight. Asahi responds to this by shifting the focus from tracking to understanding.

Built around a simple daily check-in, the app captures energy, mood, symptoms, sleep, and stress in a quick and low-effort way, allowing patterns to emerge over time. The experience is intentionally minimal and non-clinical, designed to feel calm and approachable rather than overwhelming, with insights revealed gradually instead of all at once. Inspired by the meaning of its name, “morning sun,” the visual direction uses soft gradients, warm tones, and subtle transitions to reflect clarity developing over time.

Positioned between a medical tool and a lifestyle app, Asahi reframes symptom tracking as a way to build awareness, helping users feel more in tune with their body rather than in control of it.
